The FA-250EX962 is a Zone 1 rated, long range, marine signaling lantern featuring the latest in LED technology. Compliant with IALA/North Sea requirements it consists of an array of high flux Light Emitting Diodes mounted inside a certified Flameproof transparent enclosure. The lantern is ATEX certified Ex ‘d’ IIB T4/T5/T6.
Designed to be placed in remote locations, the lantern incorporates very long lived LEDs to minimize schedule maintenance. The FA- 250EX962 features high flux LED arrays mounted on a stainless steel, parabolic reflector. The highly efficient reflector uses a state of the art dichroic hybrid spectral metal coating. The LEDs are mounted on metal core PCBs with patented integrated heat pipes to cool the LED arrays without a cooling fan. This highly efficient, passive, cooling system gives the LED array the highest design life in the marketplace (greater than 60,000 hour).
